Project Description

“ARONIA BERRY REDUCES BLOOD PRESSURE AND CHOLESTEROL

The benefits of aronia berry are vast. Some of the most impactful aronia berry benefits are related to heart health. Cardiac health is one of the most important components of wellness in the 21st century. With heart disease being one of the leading causes of death, dietary supplements that have potential to improve risk factors, such as hypertension, hold potential to reduct both morbidity and mortality.

The Franklin Health Research Foundation conducted a meta-analysis on the benefits of aronia berry. The purpose of this analysis was to evaluate the evidence regarding the effects of aronia berry (chokeberries) on blood pressure and cholesterol. Our research team evaluated the total impact of aronia berries on heart health, as well as the specific ways in which age, underlying health status, and other factors may play a role in these effects.

This meta-analysis on aronia berry benefits was completed in April 2019. Results will be released late summer 2019. Keep an eye out for a webinar discussing our findings.

Disclosures: The project was commissioned and funded by Artemis International.
